This series began with the embryotic starting point of the human form. The natural growth of an object formed through the chaos of one moment.
A difficult task but one that I wanted to emphasise through a new material. This was the first of the glass works that were to later dominate my work to the point of obsession.
I wanted to find a surface structure that was pure and sympathetic to my new method of paint application. The glass lent itself to this method with unbending ease and allowed the pigments to follow their path unhindered.
From conception to realisation the only forces modelling the paint were now those of the natural world. Gravity and friction.
